Bhatkal: Chandana Pandurang Naik, a first-year B.Sc student of Siddhartha Degree College in Bhatkal, has secured first place in the degree and postgraduate category in the Uttara Kannada district-level essay competition organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The college management, principal, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students have congratulated Chandana on her achievement and for bringing laurels to the institution.
