Bhatkal: The Bhatkal Sports Academy has inaugurated a beautiful indoor cricket stadium here in Bhatkal, wherein the cricket tournaments can now be held indoor. The stadium is located at SIM Enclave, opposite to TFC hotel, Bhatkal.

The stadium was inaugurated by Vice-President of Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem Ateequr Rahman Muniri. Speaking after inaugurating, Ateequr Rahman, expressed happiness over the fact that Bhatkal Sports Academy was providing cricket coaching to the boys of Bhatkal at a very young age. "Children should be ahead in education as well as in sports in order to make the nation and community proud", he said. He assured 'Bhatkal Cricket Academy' of all possible cooperation from his side and hoped that the Academy would bring up the best players in the future.

JDS leader Inayatullah Shabandari, Khateeb of Makhdoomia Juma Masjid Maulana Niyamatmullah Askari Nadvi, and Dr Siyaam Ali Akbara also expressed their views on the occasion and urged the youth to pay attention to their health and fitness.

Director of Bhatkal Sports, Mr. Waseem KM, while appreciating the services of a well-known Saudi Arabia based Bhatkali businessman, Irshad Siddiqua, said that he had provided his land absolutely free for two years, which led him to set up an academy and indoor cricket stadium here. I have succeeded, Waseem said, adding that the support he is getting from Irshad has given him the courage to set up a coaching center and stadium in Bhatkal.
