Bhatkal: An initiative of Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO) Bhatkal unit, 'Summer Islamic Camp-2017' for primary, high school and college students began in town's New Shams high school on 1st April, Saturday.

Mubasshir Hallare, manager of SahilOnline, who was present as the chief guest in the program, addressed the students saying that the two months of Summer holidays are precious time for the students and should be utilized by them in a proper way and asked them not to spoil it. He further added saying that, new thinkings and inventions can be brought by the students with their sharp minds in this age only if they try for it. The basic thing for students is their self confidence, and if kept as a main goal, success can be guaranteed.

Abud Asif, secretary of SIO, speaking to the students enlightened the objectives of Summer Islamic Camp. He said, in order to establish good society within the students, the Islamic education training camps are held.

The program began with the recitation of versus from the Holy Quran by Abubakar Khalifa, while Farkhat Ali sung a Naat and Maulana Abdullah Khalifa compered the event.

The program was presided over by Mujahid Mustafa, Ameer of Jamat e Islami Hind Bhatkal unit.
