Bhatkal: Rain reappears after ending the dry spell for a few days, in a the form of continuous downpour at Bhatkal. 

It was reported that the walls of a house at Hanuman Nagar collapsed as continuous rain lashed the area on Thursday.

As per the sources, the house belongs to Madev Jattappa Naik and the walls of the house have collapsed owing to the rains. Fortunately, no casualties were reported but it is estimated that a loss of Rs one lakh was incurred. MLA Mankal Vaidya, Block Congress president Vittal Naik,tahsildar V N Badkar, deputy engineer Vinayak Shet were present. Mankal Vaidya compensated the victim with Rs 10,000, it is learnt.
