Bhatkal: The New English School Bhatkal will host an alumni reunion and Guru Vandana programme on April 29 at 11 a.m. on its campus, Trustee-Manager Rajesh Nayak said.

Addressing reporters at Shree Guru Sudhindra College, he said the Bhatkal Education Trust was established in 1935 to expand access to education when opportunities in Uttara Kannada were limited.

The school, started on July 4, 1935, with 34 students, has now completed 90 years and is nearing its centenary. As part of the celebrations, former students are being contacted for the reunion, and interested alumni can register by calling 9113871471.
