Bhatkal: The installation ceremony of new office bearers of Lions Club was held at RNS Polytechnic College hall, Murdeshwar by MJF lion Dr. M K Bhat Sourabh on 12th July, Sunday.
After the installation ceremony, Dr. Bhat addressed the audience by stating that the Lions Club is for public service and the members of this club strive for a common goal. "There is a discrimination among the human beings in this society. Every individual of the society has a right to be treated equally. The motto of the lion club is to serve the poor, helpless and downtrodden and to help them lead a better life in the society," he said.
District president of Leo club Samuel Diaz ,after administering the oath ceremony, addressed the gathering and stated that youth are the strength of our nation. Newly elected president of Lions Club Dr.Vadiraj Bhat read out the details of the programmes held. Priest of Alvekodi Durgaparameshwari Temple, Narayan Daimane also expressed his views on the occasion. The club felicitated new members A N Shetty and Nagesh Mandiwal.
During the ceremony, the rank holders in SSLC and PUC and CET exams were awarded. Leo Club President Rahul Rai welcomed the ceremony while Jitendra Hegde and Suresh Naik presented the yearly reports. Dr. Hari Prasad Kini, Dr. Sunil Jatin and Tilak Roa read out the introduction and M V Hegde and Krishna Hegde compered the programme.
