Bhatkal: MLA Sunil Naik distributed the compensation checks approved by the state chief minister, among the patients hailing from the poor families, suffering from various diseases, here in Bhatkal.

A total of Rs 5,07,000 were distributed among 29 people out of a total of 43 beneficiaries.

On the occasion, he said that it is natural for a human to become ill and not to worry for it. He said that if the victims submit hospital bills and other documents, every efforts will be made to get compensation from the government.

Subray Devadiga, Krishna Naik and others were present on the occasion.
