Man selling Ganja caught by BMYF members in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: Members of Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation (BMYF) caught a person who was selling Ganja to 4 youths in a public park at Bunder road in Bhatkal. The accused is identified as Nasir S/o Abdul Karim Shaikh (22), resident of Hanif Abad. The other four youths who were consuming the Ganja escaped jumping the walls of the park.

Acting on a tip-off by BMYF members, police rushed to the spot and took Nasir into thier custody. They also seized 380 grams of Ganja from the accused.

It is said that the other four youths, who were dealing with Ganja and were able to flee were identified as Hemanth, Kumar, Nagendra and Mahesh. 

A case has been registered against Nasir at Bhatkal Town police station.

It should be noted that BMYF has formed a team with the support of local police, to nab the youths involved in selling or buying drugs in Bhatkal, from the last four months. Earlier a house was raided by Bhatkal police where they recovered huge amounts of Ganja based on a tip off by the BMYF.
