Bhatkal: A domestic worker has been accused of stealing gold jewellery and cash worth Rs 1.46 lakh from a house in Azad Nagar, Bhatkal.

Salima, a resident of 7th Cross, Jali Road, Azad Nagar, has lodged a complaint with the Bhatkal Police Station, alleging suspicion against the domestic worker who used to work at her house. According to Salima, a gold bangle worth around Rs 1.45 lakh and Rs 1,000 in cash kept in her husband’s shirt pocket were stolen.

She has requested the police to recover the stolen articles and take legal action.

The Bhatkal Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
