Bhatkal: Three educational institutions in Bhatkal have reported impressive performances in the latest Karnataka University examinations, with students securing top ranks, high SGPAs, distinctions and several perfect scores.
At Shree Jnaaneshwari College of Education, Bhatkal, the results of the 2025–26 Karnataka University B.Ed First and Third Semester examinations recorded a 100 per cent pass rate.
In the First Semester, Chandana Suresh Naik emerged as the topper with 92 per cent, followed by Swati Dattatriya Naik with 89.67 per cent, while Kavya Mahadev Gond secured the third position with 89.17 per cent.
In the Third Semester, Sinchana Thimmappa Madival topped the college with 91.67 per cent, followed by Lata Ganapati Devadiga with 91.17 per cent. Sankalpa R. and Kavya Ramesh Kimanikar jointly secured the third position with 90.83 per cent.
Anjuman College of Education, Bhatkal also recorded a 100 per cent pass rate in the B.Ed First and Third Semester examinations.
In the First Semester, Ayesha Sadaf topped the college with 91.17 per cent, followed by Sabeel Kausar (90.83 per cent) and Shaj Taskeen (90.33 per cent).
In the Third Semester, Vinay Raju Patgar secured 92.17 per cent to emerge as the Bhatkal taluk topper, while Chitra Govind Gonda (92.00 per cent) and Sushmita Manjayya Naik (91.83 per cent) secured the second and third positions, respectively. Several other students also scored above 90 per cent, underscoring the institution's strong academic performance.
Meanwhile, Siddhartha Degree College also announced strong performances in the B.Sc. and B.Com Sixth Semester examinations conducted by Karnataka University for the academic year 2025–26.
In the B.Sc. stream, Bhavana Virendra Naik emerged as the college topper with an SGPA of 9.73, followed by Lakshmi Manjunath Naik and Rajani Nagappa Gonda, both with 9.69 SGPA. Other high scorers included Nagashwetha Ramachandra Naik (9.62), Pooja Srinivas Naik (9.38), Nagashree Kamath (9.38), Vanija Bhaskar Naik (9.31) and Megha Santosh Shresthi (9.23).
In the B.Com. stream, Sindhu Ramesh Naik topped with an SGPA of 9.88, followed by Priyanka Masti Gonda (9.77), Amita Suresh Naik (9.69), Nikhita Manjunath Naik (9.48) and Mamata Mahadev Gonda (9.23).
The college said 23 of the 24 B.Sc. students and seven of the 11 B.Com. students graduated with distinction.
Several students also achieved perfect scores in individual subjects. Sindhu Ramesh Naik secured 100 out of 100 in Cost Accounting – Principles and Practice – II, while Amita Suresh Naik scored full marks in Accounting for Service Sector & Assessment of Non-Individuals and Filing of ITR. In the B.Sc. stream, Lakshmi Manjunath Naik secured full marks in Computer Science, while Bhavana Virendra Naik scored 100 out of 100 in Chemistry.
The managements, principals and faculty members of all three institutions congratulated the students on their outstanding academic achievements and wished them continued success in their future endeavours.
