Bhatkal: A 3-days state level football tournament is going to be held at Taluka Stadium (YMSA Ground) Nawayath Colony, Bhatkal from 21st April, Friday to 23rd April, Sunday.
Addressing a press meet, Maawiya Mohtesham, convener of the tournament said that this tournament is bound to be a mega-event. "We expect more than 25 teams from all over the state to participate in this tournament”, he further added.
The 'BIFA CUP' will give out Rs. 33,333 as first prize and Rs. 15,000 as second prize with trophy to the winner and runner-up of the tournament.
Maawiya Mohtesham, Co-founder of BIFA Aheed Mohtesham, senior players Hibban Shabandari, Saqlain and Raees Raja were present at the press meet to address everyone about the tournament.
Aheed Mohtesham conveyed the history of BIFA in Bhatkal, how it started 10 years back and how it developed into what it is today. “We have our branch at Bengaluru and Dubai too under the same name”, he added.
In order to promote football in Coastal Karnataka, a coaching camp will be held here at YMSA Ground, Nawayath Colony from 1st May 2017.
