Bhatkal Anjuman Girls’ School celebrates its golden jubilee

Bhatkal: Anjuman Girls’ High School, Basti road, Bhatkal held its golden jubilee celebrations on Sunday at the school premises.

The program was inaugurated by unveiling the ‘Golden Jubilee Logo’. The logo was designed by Ula Akrami, a student, for which she was honoured by management.

Chief guest Shireen Sultana, State Secretary, Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), Tamil Nadu, addressing the gathering, said, "I am immensely proud to be a part of this golden jubilee celebration. This school has always produced students who are first and foremost good human beings who excel in their studies. I am sure that the institute will be able to achieve any goal that it has set for itself".

It is rightly said, if you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation. Education is an integral part of every individual’s life but when girls are educated, countries become stronger and prosperous, she added.

She further said, Mobile phones to be used limited, social media is essential, but we should use it for knowledge or progress in our life.

She adviced students to plan their goals with dedication, determination and hard work and aim to be high to reach the sky, and build confidence.

Guest of Honour, Dr Rahima, Alumni and Professor Department of Dermatology, Government Medical College, Kozhikode, Kerala said, "This year is immensely special as the school has stepped into its 50th year. This school has been an integral part of me since I joined in the year 1985 and completed my studies. Bhatkal girls are so talented, just we all need to have dreams and set a goal. And these girls can achieve anything in life", she added.

She also advised students that hold up their good moral values, love their teachers and respect their parents always.

The program, presided over by the chairperson of the ladies' advisory committee of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Seema Kasimiji, commenced with the recitation of verses of the Holy Qur'an by Aysha Sana Udyawar, followed by Naat was sung by Hajira Saffana Udyawar, Anjuman Anthem was sung by Zainab Tonse and team. Headmistress Atiya AG presented their School’s annual report. Asiya AG welcomed and introduced the guests, the history of Anjuman was briefed by Tabassum Shaikh and a Vote of Thanks was given by Shifana Riyaz.

For the year 2020-21 ‘Batool-e-Anjuman’ was awarded to Saniya D/o Mohammed Iqbal Siddibapa and 2021-22 to Shaikh Sana D/o Shaikh Zubair.  Silver medals for eminent students for the year 2020-21 and 2021-22 were awarded to Sajida D/o Mohammed Nisar Shaikh, Mamajuni Areen D/o Mohammed Ansar, Khairunnisa Haneen D/o Faiyaz Ahmed Jushaddi and Zameera Banu D/o Mohammed Saleem respectively.

Former teachers, toppers in examinations, sports and various activities winners were felicitated. 

On the dais, Anjuman Women degree college Principal Raisa Shaikh, Anjuman PU college Principal Dr Farzana Mohtesham, Sadiqa Kazia, Rukkayya Muallim, Anjuman Girls High school Nawayath colony Headmistress Saba Damda, Najeeba Khanum and many others were present
