Bhatkal AITM hosted debate on 'Speak for India':3 Anjuman students bagged into finals

Bhatkal: A debate on the topic 'Speak for India' was organized by the Bhatkal AITM with the collaboration of Times of India, Vijaya Karnataka & Fedaral Bank among the students in the seminar hall of Anjuman institute of technology and management in which the students from different colleges from all over Karnataka took part and expressed their views.

Out of five participants, three from  institutes working under Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen made their way into the finals. Mohammed Afif of AITM secured 1st prize, Ramayan Naik of GFG Honnavar secured 2nd prize, Bhoomika Bhat Saraswat of Kumta college secured 3rd prize, Sabira of Anjum pre university college for women secured 4th prize & Mohammed Nazeef Panjam of Anjuman degrees college and PG centre secured 5th prize.

This district level competition is conducted at different places in state where three districts makes a zone and there a total of 10 zones. The winners will then compete at the zonal level and zonal level winners will participate for the mega finals in Bengaluru. According to a sources, the winners emerged at the AITM will now compete for the Mega finals in Bengaluru.

The program began in the morning 9:00am in the seminar hall of AITM. Prof Abdul Muqeet initiated with reciting Quran followed by welcome speech of Principal Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Bhavikatti. Executive Member of Anjuman Mr. Mohidden Jailani Shabandari was the chief guest for the program. College secretary Abdur Rehman Siddique presided over the program. College Vice principal gave the vote of thanks. Under the guidance of representatives of speak for India, Mr Nakul & MP Pradeep, the debate competition was organized in a very grand and successful manner.
