Bhatkal : A woman was killed and two others were injured in a fatal scooter – motorbike collision on Tuesday morning at Bunder Road, near third cross in Bhatkal. 

The scooter en route to Asiya hospital road from Bunder road third cross collided with a motorbike which was coming from Belni and going towards Shamsuddin circle. Rehana Ashfaque Damda (48) died in the accident while her husband Ashfaque Damda (55) and bike rider Digambar sadanand Naik (18) injured in the collission.

Both the injured were rushed to the nearby hospital while the body of woman has been immediately taken to Bhatkal Govt hospital where hundreds of people gathered. The body was handed over to her relatives after the post mortem.

A case has been registered in Bhatkal town police station.
