Bhatkal: Anganwadi workers staged protest in front of Assistant Commissioner's office urging to fulfil their demands and submitted a memorandum to Assistant Commissioner Chidanand Vatare and children development officer Shridevi Bhat.

It is stated in the memorandum that protection of right to food and education for both mother and children are necessary. It was appealed that National labourers Association should implement the recommendations which were passed in the labour meetings and provide minimum wages and to make the jobs permanent. 

On this occasion, President of Anganwadi workers Association Pushapavati Naik, office bearers like Shanti Moger, Kavita, Padmavathi, Jayalakshmi, Tara, Meenakshi, Shaila, Sumitra, Nagartana, Hemavati, Netravati and many others were present.
