Kumta: A 24-Years old student dies after drowning into the Kadle beach of Gokarna, a tourist spot in Kumta Taluk. The incident reported in the early afternoon of 5th March, Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as K. Vidyasagar, a resident of Hyderabad and also an MBBS student from one of the medical college in Bengaluru. 

Eyewitness say, when deceased Vidyasagar immersed into the water, it was long time that he didn't turn up. This created fear among his other relatives, who were present with him during the moment. As the screams for help raised, a well-known swimmer Thimmappa who was present on the spot, went on to safeguard Vidyasagar and brought him to land. 108 ambulance too rushed immediately on the spot and emergency oxygen was provided, but failed to save the life.

A case has been registered in Gokarna police station and investigations are on.
