Udupi:  The police have taken two more persons into custody, who were in connection with the attack on Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis by sand mafia miners and the formalities of arrest are yet to be completed.

SP K.T Balakrishna said, the two suspects were arrested in the afternoon. Security cases against the sand miners are booked on day-to-day basis.The police have already made a list of all former suspects and those convicted in illegal sand mining cases. They are again booked under security cases. They should appear before the taluk magistrate and should produce the surety in the form of bond, he added.
