Bhatkal: Incidents of burglary are on rise in Bhatkal as was evident from another such instance taing place in Alva Street on 6th April, Thursday. The most striking trait of the incident is that the burglars attempted and succeeded in their hiest right during the day that too between morning and noon.
The house owner Sonta Noorul Ameen said that the members of the family had been to a relative’s house in the morning and when they returned at noon around 12p.m, the bolt was broken along with the door lock. Upon investigating, he found that 3 gold coins along with Rs.15000 cash were missing from a cupboard in his house. He further added that except the above mentioned items, other things were intact.
Noorul Ameen said that the bolt of the neighbouring house, which is also owned by him also had a broken lock but it seems like the attempt was not successful as nothing seems to be missing from the house.
No case has been registered into the police station so far.
