Collision between two buses leaves 31 passengers sustain injuries at Ankola

Ankola: In an disgusting road accident, that reported between the private bus and the Govt bus, near Adlur of Ankola on NH-63, left 31 passengers plying in govt bus to sustain minor, multiple injuries to their body. The incident took place in the early hours of 4th February, Saturday, around 8:30am.

As per the official reports, it is learnt, the incident took place when the private bus was heading towards Ankola from Hubli, while the KSRTC bus belonging to govt was moving to Athani from Karwar. The passengers of the govt bus urge that, the negligence driving by the govt bus driver is the major cause for this disaster.

The grievously injured two victims were immediately taken to Manipal hospitals, while the passengers who received minor and multiple injuries were rushed to Ankola govt Hospital and other private hospital in the town.

As the information spread, the police personnel rushed the spot and conducted the necessary investigations, and were also successful in controlling any kind of traffic breakdown that may have occurred due to the tragedy.

In this regard, a case has been registered in Ankola police station and further investigations are on.
