Udupi:  In the wake of Manipal Institute of Technology campus in Manipal declared a containment zone after 27 students have tested Covid positive, Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha has ordered that all the 5,000 students on campus should undergo medical check-up as a precautionary measure.

The DC who shared a video message on Facebook said the institute has been asked to only conduct online classes.

No one from the campus is allowed to go out, he said. The DC has also asked all shops and business establishments in Manipal to be on high alert.
