Hubballi: The meter readers of Hescom supposed to come on 10th of every month to give electricity bill, but they are always coming 2 to 3 days late at Nehrunagar, on Gadag Road, Hubballi.
In a press release, Jagadish Hombal, social activism of the area said, for the delay in the readinf meter, the consumers have to pay the next slab's higher rate for the electricity consumed during those 2-3 days.
Besides, Hescom has not provided the uniform to its employee, making it difficult to identify the meter readers. The Hescom claims that it has been spending crores of rupees for providing uniform to its staff. Where that money has gone?, he asked. He urged the authorities concerned to take action against the staff for their negligence.
