Hubballi: "Akhila Bharateeya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) is misusing school children to take part in politically motivated protests, and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is wants to regulate such acts," said Hubballi-Dharwad City District Congress Committee spokesman Vedavyas Kaulagi.
In a press release, he stated that he brought the issue to the notice of Mr Siddaramaiah when he was here on Saturday.
ABVP used innocent school children to stage protests against the government, after the death of IAS officer D K Ravi and DySP M K Ganapathi. Such acts have nothing to do with the children's academic activities. Therefore, he said, the chief minister was urged to take steps to issue circulars to schools, not to send students for such politically motivated events, Mr Kaulagi said.
ABVP is not demanding any inquiry in the case of DySP Kallappa Handibag's suicide, because Sangh Parivar leaders allegedly have their role in this case, he charged.
