72nd Republic day: Bhatkal AC calls citizens to stand for country with unity and brotherhood

Bhatkal: The 72nd Republic Day celebration marked with great fervour here at Taluka stadium in Bhatkal on Tuesday. 

Bhatkal Assistant commissioner Bharat S hoisted the national flag on the occasion and received the guard of honour. The parade was led by PSI  Siddappa Gudi.

In his address, Bharat S called upon the citizens to stand for the nation with unity and brotherhood. He said, "Today is an auspicious day for all Indians, as the Constitution was formed on this day. The Constitution and basic rights were provided to the citizens of India".

Contingents of the Taluka police, coastal guard, NCC, Scouts, Sevadals unit and several schools presented an attractive march past.

On the occasion , several achievers in various fields were felicitated.

Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik preside over the events. MLA also thanked all stating that with the cooperation of the people and the COVID warriors, the pandemic was able to bring under control with complete success.

He also extended special thanks to all the government departments and social organization Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem.

Bhatkal TMC President Parvez Khasimji, Bhatkal Taluka Jali Pattan Panchayat President Shameem Banu, Tahsildar Ravichandra, CPI Diwakar, BEO Devdas Moger, and others were present.
