Shimoga: Seven persons were killed when a car in which they were travelling, hit a truck from behind on early morning of Thursday. The accident occured near Sagar road of Ayanooru. The truck which was carrying wooden logs fell on the car, killing everyone in the vehicle, when the Innova dashed into the rear side of the truck

The deceased have been identified as Sridhar from Bengaluru, Madhu and Praveen of Magadi, Raghavendra of Shikaripur, Manjunath of Chorady. The remaining two are yet to be identified.

It is said that they were on their way to attend a wedding party at Sagar on Thursday.
