Yellapur: In a ghastly road accident that happened in between a car and a truck on Kirawatti NH63 in Yellapur taluk on Thursday, four persons were killed on the spot. All the four deceased were traveling in car.

Sources informed that the mishap happened when the car was heading towards Ankola from Hubballi, while the truck was in the opposite direction, during which both the vehicles had an head-on collision. The impact of collision was such that the car was damaged badly.

As the information was alerted, Yellapur police personnel rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigation.

A case has been registered in Yellapur police station.
