3 Tourists rescued from drowning in Murdeshwar beach

Bhatkal: Three tourists who were taking bath at Murdeshwar beach in Bhatkal taluk were rescued by the lifeguard team on Tuesday, 21st May. 

The tourists were identified as Ratik Raj (19), Ankush Singh (19) and Rajiv Mukharji (18), all students of Barakchar BBD college in Goa.

Sources informed that a group of nearly 27 students had been to Murdeshwar on tour. As they were playing in the water, a high tide pulled the trio further away from the shore. Luckily, the lifeguard team spotted this and immediately rushed to rescue them and managed to pull them out.

The lifeguard team included Ravi Madhav Harikanth, Jai Ram Kuppa Harikanth and others.
