Ankola: Three people, who had stuck when a fire broke out at a factory named 'Prakriti Products' in Igsur in Ankola taluk earlier this month, succumbed to the injuries on Sunday.
Reports said that all the three victims were the employees of the factory. They were admitted to the hospital for treatment after the incident, but two employees died on Sunday, and one on Monday after they failed to respond to the treatment. The deceased are identified as Raghu Naik (25), a resident of Babbuwada in the taluk, and Lakhan Tiwari, a resident of Jharkand, while Rajendra Meraj (37) of Jharkand succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
It may be recalled that on March 1, the factory in Ankola was gutted fire due to short circuits, in which four people were seriously injured due to burns. They were rushed to Mangaluru hospital for advanced treatments after giving initial treatment at government hospital.
