Kumta: A 21-year old woman committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling at her house at Santeguli gram limits of Kumta on 25th July, Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Netravati Marate, a resident of Bangane of Santeguli in Kumta.

According to the sources, the victim took this extreme step when nobody was at her house. The reason behind her suicide is yet to be found out.

In this regard, a case has been registered in Kumta Police station and further investigations are on.
