Karwar: 1.75 lakh soil health cards will be distributed to the farmers of Uttara Kannada district by March 31, said Joint Director of Agriculture, Karwar, Honnappa Gouda. He was speeking at the World Soil Day event at Haliyal as chief guest. He said that of the target collection of 15,000 soil samples, 13,000 have already been collected.

Earlier, ZP vice-president Santosh Renake inaugurated the programme which was presided over by Umesh Bolashetty, civic chief of Haliyal. Taluk Panchayat chief Rita Siddi and ZP member Krishna Patil were present.
