Karwar: Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr Harish Kumar has stated that the citizens entering the district from outside should have to undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days.
He said that district administration has taken several steps to curb the spread of COVlD-l9. But still, there's a chance of the virus spreading from those entering the district from other districts or states. Hence, anybody entering the district will be kept in 14 days quarantine.
"Those entering from other districts or other states should go through medical screening from health officials and get the seal stamped on their hand, followed with 14 days of home quarantine. If anybody defying the law, would be kept in quarantine under the government officials supervision", DC said.
The officials at check posts in the borders of the district have been asked to submit the details of those entering the district, he added.
