12 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Bhatkal, all infected from Mangaluru hospital

Bhatkal: 12 new cases of Corona positive have confirmed in Bhatkal today on Friday, which has shocked not only the district administration but also the social organizations. It may be recalled that three days ago, on May 5, the Corona report of an 18-year-old girl came to be positive.  The people who have received positive reports today includes nine women and a toddler. The other two are girl's grandfather and a father.

It may be recalled that a 23-year-old woman from Bhatkal along with her husband, had taken their five-month-old daughter to the First Neuro Hospital in Mangaluru due to ill health, where it is believed that Corona is affected from the same hospital to Bhatkal. Earlier, her younger sister was affected by Corona and was rushed to Bhatkal government hospital with fever. When her report came to be positive, other family members were also tested, of which 12 were confirmed to be having Corona as per the reports received today. It is reported that on May 5, when the girl's report came positive, samples of 47 people were sent for testing.

It may be recalled that two women who came for treatment at the First Neuro Hospital in Mangaluru died due to the effects of Coronavirus.  Immediately after their deaths, Dakshina Kannada District Administration sealed the entire hospital and quarantined all the staff. 

After 12 new cases of Coronavirus in Bhatkal in Uttara Kannada district, the entire administration has come to grip, but the Deputy Commissioner of the district, Dr Harish Kumar, while talking on the phone, said, there's no need to worry if 12 people report Corona positive.  We know that these people were infected from Mangaluru's First Neuro Hospital, when they had been for the treatment of the toddler. But we don't have to be surprised and scared, he added.

Tanzeem ready to face all kinds of challenges: The people of the Bhatkal are shocked and worried about the 12 new cases of Corona in Bhatkal. As soon as the information was received, general secretary of the Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem, Abdul Raqeeb MJ Nadvi, convener of the Medical team Younus Ruknaddin and members Muhammad Sadiq Matta, Imtiyaz Udyawar, Naseef Khalifa and others reached the government hospital and sought information from the taluka health officer and other officials including Dr Sharad, special officer of Corona. Social worker Nisar Top was also present at the hospital to perform his services as usual.

Talking to reporters, General Secretary of Tanzeem, Abdul Raqeeb MJ Nadvi said that we do not need to be scared when new cases of Corona comes to light, even before that 11 people of Bhatkal have returned home after recovering from Corona. God willingly, these people will also recover soon. "Our members are already working to fight Corona in Bhatkal, but we have also set up a new committee to face new challenges," he said.
