Mangaluru: With train operations shifting back to regular timetable from monsoon timetable over the konkan railway network from November 1, many passengers reportedly missed their trains in Mangaluru and other areas after downloading unauthorised railway information apps.
The Southern Railway’s Palakkad Division, in a press release, appealed passengers to check the updated timings with the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) either through its app or web or through rail helpline on 139.
It urged passengers not to fall prey to the unauthorised apps that still show the Monsoon timings of trains operating on the KRCL network.
Railway sources said 25 passengers missed boarding Hazrath Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapuram Central Rajdhani Express train (No 12432) that had left Mangaluru Junction Railway Station at 12.10 pm under the normal timetable on Wednesday.
The passengers were found to have referred unauthorised railway apps that indicated Rajdhani’s departure at Mangaluru Junction at 2.15 pm.
