UDUPI: Member of the BJP Parliamentary Board Committee B S Yediyurappa said that there was an overwhelming response for the party in the coastal district.
“No one can stop the BJP from regaining power after winning more than 140 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections,” he told reporters in Udupi. The former chief minister also mocked Siddaramaiah’s statement on coming back to the power.
“He (Siddaramaiah) believes the state’s voters are in his pocket. In Karnataka, the Congress will not come back to power. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the BJP will win the election in the statet,” he said.
On Siddaramaiah’s hesitant to contest from the Badami Assembly constituency, Yediyurappa said that he has not done anything to build the constituency. He is aware of his defeat in Badami and hence, he is disowning his constituency, the former CM said.
Yediyurappa added that Murugha Mutt seer has done a shameful act that makes everyone bow their head with shame. He should be punished for the guilt andshould not be forgiven, he said.
